Anderson
In Spain, all hosts of tourist accommodation must register travelers with the National Police or a similar security agency - Guardia Civil. Despite a lack of knowledge about the rule, first-time owners are often surprised to learn that they have to take care of the process on their own. Read more details about the procedure and how to do it within National Police. To register travelers, the owners must obtain a registration form from the National Police or a similar security agency. The form must be filled out with the traveler’s name, address, passport number, and other pertinent information. Once completed, the host must submit the form to the police or agency for processing. What are the steps to register in Civil Guard Inns? In order to create traveler profiles on the Hospederías de la Guardia Civil website, one must first register on the portal. Although it's not the speediest process, it isn't complicated either - follow these four steps: Start by visiting the Hospederías site and downloading the registration form for places of accommodation. Bring the finished form to the Guardia Civil office nearest your residence for Step 2. If you don't know the location, check the Civil Guard's phone and address directory. For step three, wait for your request to be resolved. Once your request has been approved, you will receive the required details for accessing the system, such as an establishment code, a user name and password. Proceed to Step 4 and access the application in order to register your guests. When to inform Hospederías de la Guardia Civil about your guests? Now that you have your login details, there is nothing stopping you from looking for travelers at Guesthouses. Bear in mind that you have a 24-hours from your guests arrival to get them registered at your accomodation. How to communicate the guests' data to the Civil Guard? The Civil Guard must be informed of the guests' data no later than 24 hours after they check-in, which is done via traveler registration sheets. The simplest way to accomplish these goals is to use Hosts to create and send them. Alternately, you can use any of the following methods: Face-to-face: two physical copies of each registration sheets to the Guardia Civil office. Postal mail: two copies of each record sheet; only in municipalities without physical offices. Fax: sending the registration forms to the corresponding Civil Guard office Digital media: delivery via a physical digital storage device (e.g. a USB). Online: through the Inn Web-site.
