Jenni
Hello there! What ATM do I use to withdraw Euros when I'm traveling to Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia or Malaga with my Wise and Revolut cards? Don't get surprised by unexpected charges.
Anderson
While withdrawing cash from an ATM with a non-Spanish card, it's common to be charged a fee of €2 - €6; However, this usually isn't the case for provincial and smaller cajas. It's best to stay away from large banks such as Banco Santander as they tend to have the most expensive fees (like Caixa and Santander). I withdrew €200 from the ATM and they charged me €5 extra! Sabadell had the best rates I could find. Withdrawals are €1.80 here, making it the cheapest option around - compared to €5 or €7 elsewhere. Unicaja is the best option for using Wise/Revolut withdrawals as they don't apply any extra fees. The official map of the Unicaja ATMs is here.
